My friend Jessica over at Beer & Baking loves to infuse alcohol with anything she can get her hands on, or grow in her garden. For my birthday she gave me a jar of homegrown rhubarb infused vodka - unfortunately it tasted a bit like sweet grass. We’ve resolved to try again, and this time peel the stalks - either way, amazing and awesomely creative gift idea! I saw this article on Etsy’s blog and got really excited. I love herby, fresh drinks and this is so much easier than you might think, especially with alcohol. There are also tips for infusing oils and simple syrups. Give it a shot! I’m thinking of trying something with thyme or sage.
